Day #6

ROCKS!!!

Hmmm.......where do I start. Ok, here goes. The above picture is very suitable to describe our life. Imagine you are on this side of the road and there is a huge number of rocks blocking your way before you can get to the other side of the road. It's the same scenario in life. When you are born, everything is smooth sailing as we have our beloved parents, grandparents, elder siblings, etc to look after us. This is the same as when you are on this side of the road. As we move on in life, there will come to a part where we need to face many challenges aka our problems and this are the 'rocks' in our life. After overcoming all this obstacles, we will finally reach the other side of the road where we are able to settle down and hopefully will have a smooth journey ahead.
Life's like this. Don't give up when the 'rocks' are blocking your way as there is a smooth journey waiting for you ahead. Never give up on anything in life till the very last minute. Treasure every moment and live life to its' fullest.

Ash Wednesday

It's Ash Wednesday today which marks the beginning of the Lent season for us, fellow Christians. The Lent season begins with Ash Wednesday and ends with Easter and its a 40 days celebration. During this season, there is a emphasis to do more charity, to fast and to pray. It's not that we don't have to do those 3 things at any other day but during Lent, we need to pay more attention on them. Ok, back to Ash Wednesday, which is today, ashes will be distributed in the sign of a cross on our forehead. These ashes are produce by burning palm leaves which are from the previous 'Palm Sunday' celebration.

Day #4

Got the pic which resembles the 3 main thing during Lent from church. Pardon the quality of the picture as it was quite dark and I was sitting quite a distance from it.

Do I need to say more? IT'S THE BEST PLACE TO BE!! This reminds me of Sean favourite line whenever I tell him that I am taking him to McD. 'Michelle, go uncle McDonald I want fried chicken, french fries, ribena and ice cream'. Yes, he calls it "Uncle McDonald".

Day #2

As I was on my way back from work today, I took this picture of a really nice building or should I say nice architecture. Sometimes I do wonder what building is that or who does it belong to or what do people do there. Curious, curious. Probably those staying around Ipoh will know where the building that I am mentioning is, so I'll just let you guess it. Should be an easy guess.

Project 365

All you have to do is to snap one photo a day and post it up in your blog. I have been contemplating on this project as I know I will give up half way through it. However, I have made up my mind today to go with it. Will see how long I can last with it. Here goes...

Another year older!!!

20th Feb - Adds another year of me getting older. Time flies by soo fast. Can still remember

the time when I was in primary school when we se to have sooooo much fun then. Now, I am aleady in the working world and more and more of my friends are getting married or have already been married. TIME REALLY FLIES!!! Nevertheless, everything seems to be getting smoother along the way.

Had lunch with my colleagues in McD yesterday. Had to rush and eat like as though we have been in hunger for some time as we only have an hour of lunch break and McD was PACKED!!!! We got a extra burger for free. The staff there must have lost count of the number of burgers they had given us.

In the night, went for dinner with my parents. Had a very filling dinner.

Went for another round of makan with 'my gang' at Moven Peak just now. Yet another failed attemp in steamboat. I was full already even before our 1st round food was finished. So we started taking pictures, talk and laugh and continue with our deserts soon after. I am still very very full yet thirsty now but dare not drink too much as my stomach is already blotted.

Yesteday, being Thaipusam, was a holiday for everyone in certain states including mine, Perak. As if fell on a Sunday, we had today as a replacement. Spend the whole day with my cousins and colleague at Lost World of Tambun. Had really great fun there but unfortunately was badly sunburned. It still hurts till now and my face is RED!! Even the colour tone on my hand and leg has differ. This is coz i totally forgot the most important thing - MY SUNBLOCK!! But anyhow, had a really nice time and some new experience on the slides which I can describe as a 'roller coaster' ride in a very dark tunnel.

Today, went for karoake with friends at K-Box, Jusco which has just opened in Dec '08. We sang for 3 hours... Had really great fun. Time flies whenever we are having fun rite. ehhehe.... We were singing and singing and then it was time's up. It never felt like 3 hours to me though. After that, we went for dinner at Olivenz. Ee Lee had her meal free as they forgot to charge for it. Lucky she. After dinner, it was still kinda early so we decided to hang out awhile at 'Barroom'. We played silly games calling ourselves with superheroes names and 007 bang. End the nite by saying our goodbyes especially to Jasmine who will be flying off to Aussie this coming Fri to further her studies there. So long Jas..... Take care ya.
