Had a CNY gathering at my ex-boss house just now. It was a westernize CNY as we KFC and pizza. Heheheh.... Other than that, the day went on like any normal day except that i took my afternoon nap for about two and a half hours. Really had a nice sleep. If not for the sms i got asking me to go get the pizza, I would have continued sleeping. Nice weather to sleep as it was raining quite heavily and thus it was really cooling.

Got a good news from work too today. Tuesday is declared as a public holiday. That means i got a day off as well. Yeah!! Got the news yesterday from the many forms of media we have but only got a confirmation from HR today that we will also get the day off. And its only for PERAK state. Another day to relax at home. Holidays are really very very precious for us who have started working even if it's only for a day.

Gong Hee Fatt Choy

This year around, CNY seems to be like any other year. Had our reunion dinner at my house on Sunday night and after that had some nice chit-chatting session with my family. Mum cooked for the reunion and Aunt Mary bought over Yee Sang.

The food for our reunion dinner

Yee Sang... Covered mostly with nuts and crackers and raw fish on top.

On the 1st day of CNY, went over to Fiona's house in the morning and followed her to her in-law's house to watch the lion dance there. We met her sis-in-law who is really nice and friendly to us. She brought her dog, Celeste with her as well and it was such a darling. After that, we were served vegetarin food as most chinese will go on vege on the 1st day of CNY. The food was prepared by Fiona's father-in-law. He was sooooo cute as he was watching us eating and keep on asking whether the food is nice or not. He was so delighted that we were kinda finishing the food.
Today, 2nd day of CNY, went for movies with Farrah. Wanted to watch All Well Ends Well but it's was all full, from the 1st show till the last show. So we ended up with 'Inkheart' and 'The Wedding Game'. Both the shows are nice I can say. After show, went to visit Aunty Mary and then went for dinner at Farrah's house.

Lantern Festival

Went for the Lantern Festival in Sunway City with mum, aunts, cousins, nephew and Miss Cheong. Was such a drama. We kinda over shot the place, thanx to ME. Hahaha.. I was so confident that I know the place coz it was stated that the Lantern Festival is next to Sun Inns Hotel. Firstly, as we were all busy talking in the car, we miss the hotel. So we went on and on until we felt that we have come too far coz the other day we never went in that far when we saw Sun Inns. So we went into Petronas and ask for directions. We made a U-turn and all of us were on the lookout for Sun Inns. My aunt's car was following me and she must have made alot of noise in the car. Just as I were to reach the row of shop houses where Sun Inns is located, i spotted some lights on my right and true enough, it was where the Lantern Festival is. I made an emergency break to turn in. Luckily there were no cars behind. Quickly called Farrah to let her know but ala they overshot. The road to the place was sooooooooooooo dark. They should have put out some lanterns to catch the attention of visitors. For those of you who are planning to go, look out for 2 palms trees with a banner hung on it and turn left if your are coming from Giant. Will be kinda hard to find for those of you who are not familiar with that place.

The walk way towards the entrance are all brightly lit. As we reach the entrance, we saw a counter and after asking the people there, we found out that we need to pay RM8 to get in. We thought that we can pay any amount as it was written that admission is via donation but the fee is fix. There are lanterns of all the 12 zodiac animals, the God of prosperity, characters from 'Journey to the West' and many more. The lanterns are all beautifully lit but it was not to what we expected. The place where they display the lanterns is very wide but the lanterns are all scattered as there are not many lanterns on display.

What a week!!!

Was very down this week. Probably due to the work load I am having. It's not that I am complaining that I got sooo much to do. Everyone who is working will surely be busy right but I am currently doing some other ppl's job and its just creating empty forms!!!! I don't understand why she can't do it. It's an easy job but it really takes up alot of my time till my own work is left undone. And just as I was feeling better today, another colleague must come and spoil my day early in the morning. Instead of a happy ending ( Of the week) it turn out to be the worst week ever.

Not in a mood at all. Earlier Farrah called to ask me out but i decline as i was not in a mood at all but she said to me "You are so boring'. Haih.............. Have been crying myself to sleep the past two nights. Really hate it when I am feeling this way. Hope to wake up happy, forgetting all the bad feeling!!

Sunday night, went for a buffet dinner at HILLCITY HOTEL with my colleagues and ex-boss.There were amazing 26 of us... I really got a shocked as the last I heard from the organizer, there were not even 10 of us.

Although the company was such a blessing, the service and the food was kinda dissapointing. Since we booked for 26 person, they should have the courtesy to at least arrange the table for us so that we can all sit together. The tables there are mostly only for 4 pax and they just left it as they were. What is the use of us going out in a big group if we were to have to sit seperately?? With many many eyes looking at us, we decided to combine the tables ourselves and while doing it, none of the staffs there came over to help. Such poor service.
The table setting that we arranged ourselves.

Too tired from looking after kids i guess. Mom's eyes are closed and dad's eyes are almost closing

The only table that got left out coz we don't have enough

Come to the food. The only dish i should say is good is the dry curry chicken. The rest of it is so-so only and there were not many variety to choose from. The desert was a huge dissapointment as well as they were serving many cakes of different colours but it's the SAME cake. Only the colour differentiates it. And the cake was sooooo dry. Luckily this dissapointed was cover up a lil' with the konyaku which comes with the pudding. Only the konyaku is nice, not the pudding.

Alas, I still had a good time as the company always counts. Never mind the food and service.

A fruitful Saturday Night

Went for dinner with Miss Cheong, Su and Farrah last night at this 'truly American food' place in Greentown called.....

The atmosphere was good, kinda relaxing and the food was superb especially the special made desert. It seems that the mother-in-law of this American lady, who is the owner love that desert alot and she made it for her mom-in-law today and so happen she had extra and ask us whether we wana have a try and so we thought why not. It was really good and it is served with vanilla ice cream, whip cream and a cherry.

Caeser Salad with lots of cheeseee

Cheezy fries

Garden salad which comes with the main dish

Mashed potato with gravy
Seafood Alfredo with garic toast
Spagetti meatballs with garlic toast

Mushroom burger

The wonderful deserts

After dinner, we thought that it was too early to go home, so we took a turn around Sunway City. Went one round to check out Ms. Cheong's new place - Alpine Village which she will be shifting in in today. Took a turn around Extreme Park and there we curious eyes staring at us as we were winding down the window to take pictures.

We still thought it was a lil' early so we decided to go to some other places ad we decided Mcd and only then a brilliant idea came into my mind, why not we go to Kinta Riverfront and we never regret going there. The place was sooooo different compared to a few years back and the atmosphere was nice. Got a look at the show room for the suites that will be coming up real soon It was sooooooooo beautiful, beyond words can describe. We then went for a walk around Kinta Riverfront and took picturessss.....

It was really a fun and wonderful nite. For more pictures, do view my FB.

My day started of well, thanx to Fly.FM. Firstly, when i got into the car, ready for work and as I switch on the radio, they were playing 'Tattoo' by Jordin Sparks, which is one of the song that I am always looking forward to listen. As I go further on my way, they played 'Right Now (Na, Na, Na ) by Akon, another one of my current favourite hit followed by 'Leave Out All The Rest' by Linkin Park. Three nice songs in a row. This is really once in a blue moon kinda thing I should say. Normally, it's so hard to get the songs I wana listen to but this morning i got THREE!! Thanx again to Fly.FM!!!

After work, i went to fetch my lil' nephew, Sean. As I was on my way there, I heard this really nice song from 'The Divine Masters' - Di sampingmu. It was really nice. It was raining heavily at that time and as I was reaching Shatin Food Court, I got a shock as two kancils was stuck in the drain. Kancil as in our Perodua kancil and not the mousedeer ok!! It was coz the water level was rising til we cant differentiate the road and the drain. I got scared and decided to stop by the side and only go on when I saw another car slowly going through the water. The water level was really high as i coud feel the water hitting beneath my car. I was so scared that I will get stucked in the middle of the road but luckily that did not happen!!

Went for Mcd with my cousin and nephews just now and had another round of prosperity burger. It was spicy this time around maybe coz I am heaty. After makan, Nic asked to go home. I thought he wanted to catch his Naruto as always but he told me that he's tired and wana go home and sleep. Only the 3rd day of school and he is already feeling tired and going to bed so early. Hahahhaha......kids!!!

Another Sunday

Went for sushi today with Fafa, Su and Waikwan. Finally got to use the voucher we got when we renewed our membership back in 2008!! Hahahha.... Sounds so far and long ago.

After sushi, Fafa and I left for Yik Foong. I have not been there for such a longgggggggggg time. Went to the parking lot where I used to parked when I go there once a upon a time ago and alas it was FULL!! After turning for 2 rounds, we finally got a spot right in front of the market. So we gotta walk a lil' to reach the complex. One thing i found out was there were so many foreigners and there are also some not so sane people on the street. On the way back to the car, I was kinda scared as there were so many of them that i actually told Fafa that 'this is Ithe scariest street in Ipoh'. Hahaha....... I vow to her that I'll never ever park there again if i ever wana go to Yik Foong again.

Well, I have been thinking alot about the things that I wana do and achieve in this year 2009 and I hope I can keep to it and I told myself that I will learn to be less stressful until a bad memory in 2008 came haunting me again. I told myself that it's almost a year and I have to let it go already but it seems like it just happen. Well, I don't wana talk bout it anymore so i hope it will be off my mind tomorrow, after my sleep tonite.
