Exhausted!!

Really had an exhausting day today. My day started at 7am. It's OMPH Family Day Carnival and thus mass starts half an hour earlier. After mass, went straight to our stall as I got the 1st session shift. Was kind of surprise to see that there re already customers coming to our stall coz from previous experience, the will only come to our stall as a last resort to finish up their remaining coupons. We had a good start and 'business' picked up as the day went by.

There were then the dog show. Look at the crowd on the background in the picture above. All were waiting patiently for the dog show to begin. There are really beautiful and adorable dogs.

There was also a small animal farm.

Other than that, there were cultural dances to entertain the guests such as Indian dance, Filipino bamboo dance and the Michaelian Band, just to name a few. It was a fun filled day for all of us as we get to spend the day with family and friends.

After that, I went to Jusco with Farrah and we decided to take the kids along. Had our lunch and they wanted to watch a movie so we end up watching Paul Blart Mall Cop - AGAIN ( for me ). The two elder ones were well behaved but the small one was making so much noise and crying for small small matter. It was really tiring to calm him down as he is also kinda stubborn. When we were in the cinema, he slept off. So there was peace for a lil' while.

It was already pass 5pm when the show ended and yet the kids said they do not want to go back. So we hang around a lil whole longer at Big Apple and that's when my aunt called asking for the kids. Finally, there is an excuse to go home. Reached home bout 6pm and I was really tired. Took my bath and then went out again for dinner and groceries shopping with my parents. Just came back bout an hour ago and thought I will just do a quick post and go to bed. Then my laptop got hang, I gotta restart it, type out my post again as I did not manage to save it earlier. Arggg...................

OK I am really gona be off to bed soon. AM really very very tired and there will be another long day at work tomorrow.

Preparation Day

Day #41

Went to church just now to help out in the preparation for tomorrow's OMPH Family Day!!

Our BEC - St. Joseph, is selling vegetables all the way from Camerons. The other things on sale are roast duck, flowers ( also from Cameron ) and dumpling. Come, see and BUY!! It's all for charity. Our church took a loan to buy a house which is used to allow migrants who seek temporary shelter to stay there and so this carnival is to raise fund to pay off the loan.

There are many food stalls awaiting you. Other than that, there will be a animal farm, a dog show and also cultural dances to keep you entertain. Talking bout dog show, met Fr. Eugene in church just now and he was telling that Fr. Lai got a call thinking that the caller was going to asked what time mass will start tomorrow but the caller end up asking what time is the dog show tomorrow. It was sooooo funny, we were laughing our head off.

Can't believe he is soooooooooooooo CHILDISH!!! For goodness sake. Get a life man.

Went for 2 movies today with my friends. Went to Jusco at 10am and it was already full as it was member's day sale today. Fortunately, the car park on the roof too is still kinda empty.

Our 1st movie was Paul Blart Mall Cop. It was sooooooo funny and we were laughing so much. There were this 2 guys in the cinema who was really so ticklish and they were really laughing so hard and this add to our laughter.

After that, we went for Confession of a Shopaholic. It was a good movie as well. Also filled with laughter and there are scenes that can touch your heart.

Divine Mercy Sunday

Today, the 2nd Sunday of Easter is also the Divine Mercy Sunday. My parents and I followed our church trip to the Divine Mercy Church in Shah Alam. We left at about 6am to our church but only left for Shah Alam at 7am as there were some late comers.

Divine Mercy - Jesus I trust in You

There were many pilgrims in the church and we had to rush in to get a seat just as the BM mass ended. The English mass was suppose to starts at 11.15am but they had a slight change where they invited YB Teresa Kok to share with us her testimony on how she became a politician till she is what she is today by God's grace. While she was sharing with us her testimony, a lady suddenly shouted at her to ask her to stop. We all got a shocked but YB remain calm and told us that this kind of situation is expected whenever she gives a talk. She continued speaking after church members manage to calm the lady.

Mass then started at 12pm. The service By Fr. Paulino Miranda, the parish priest of the Church of Divine Mercy was wonderful. The atmosphere created by the different ministries of the church was superb. I felt in love the the service there. The choir sang joyfully and the solo singer for the responsarial psalm was just soooooooooo wonderfully superb!! For me, the service was so lively as the priest himself join in in all the singing and I have to admit that Fr. Paulino have a beautiful voice. During his sermon, he told us that he was detained by Malaysian police when they were having a peaceful gathering held for the abolition of ISA. I was shocked but nevertheless admire his strong belief in God who is the judge of all justice.

The grotto at Divine Mercy Church

Lunch was served after mass and they were giving out holy pictures of Divine Mercy and bottle for holy water all on the house. According to one of the commitee member of the church, the priest gave strict orders not to sell anything to parisheners but to give it to them FOC. Even the church stall was closed today. There were bars of cadbury chocolates given to children as well.

We left the church about 2.30pm and head for Puchong to visit another church - Church of Our Lady Of Guadalude. ( I hope I got it right ) We were the only group there and so we spend some time saying rosary prayers as a group before we left for Ipoh.

Grotto at the Church Of Our Lady Of Guadalude

Till this very moment, I am still thinking bout the wonderful service I attended this morning. I will surely return to the church again someday. Many many praises to Fr. Paulino and his team!!

Remembering the pass

I was on my bed reading a novel and all of a sudden, the memories I had with my housemates back in Penang came floating by. Yes, I admit I truly miss those days back then. We had our ups and downs and yet we manage to remain good friends. I can still remember the 1st day I shifted in. I was the first to arrive and the only housemate I know won't be arriving till the next day. While I was shifting in my belongings, there came another housemate. We just smiled and that's it. Hahahha... Remembering those times just seems so funny now.

Well, 95-5-3, the number of our apartment just brings back so much memories. The 5 of them were my family back in Penang. I was so worried that I could not get along with them but how wrong am I. We were really like sisters talking and laughing every other night - that is when exams are not around the corner. Even then, we still spend a lil' time with each other each day like going out for dinnner or just having dinner at home with our packed food.

After our final sem examination, we were all so busy packing, leaving for our own way in life. The last day in Penang was really killin' me. I soooo not wana part with them but it's life. We meet and we part. I even ran to the bathroom to cry when I see one by one of them leaving for their hometown. Well, I am glad that we still manage to keep in touch with each other till this day and I hope it will last for a lifetime.

And here is to introduce you to all my wonderful ex-housemates!!!

Chan Sek Li aka KeyKey - The cheekiest of us all. Her jokes can make us laugh till we cry.

Tan Yong Chih aka Chih - The noisiest of us all. Hahahhahaha....... And loves to sleep.

Leang Chew Meng aka Liang Popo - The blurest of us all.

Chuah Hooi Tee aka Hohonie - The one who goes home every weekend. That's why she is always missing in all our pics

Ng Min Mei aka Ming Huang - The studious and serious one among us all.

THANX FOR ALL THE WONDERFUL MEMORIES!!

I was suppose to help set up the system and it's stuck being my job. From 1-2 weeks, it became 1 month and now it has already been 6 months!! How long more am I gona be stuck doing it?? I don't mind doing it if it's 'part-time' so that I can do things of my field but now I am stuck doing it FULLTIME!! Arghhhhhhh................

Have been very very patience but really cannot tahan anymore today. It is already middle of the month and still March report is not settled! I need to go through one by one to find out the prob whereas the ppl who are suppose to be in charge of this don't even give a damn. Really came close to tears today but luckily manage to control.

Betrayal!!!

When you are betrayed by your enemy, you will feel a little hurt but you would have expected it. On the other hand, what would you feel if you are betrayed by one of your good friends or someone very dear to you?

Imagine you are in the place of Jesus who was betrayed by one of His close friend. Will you be able to be like Jesus??

Give it a thought!!

Weird huh?!?! 1st I want Sushi then when my colleagues were talking bout 'Nasi Vangeh', I want Mamak food, then all of a sudden I crave for McD. Hmmm.... what is going on with me? Can it be work stress?? Hahaha.... This morning, my colleague was suppose to get me 'siew mai' and of course I was so looking forward for it and then "Michelle, today never open stall. Rain!" There goes my 'siew mai'. Thought of getting it in pasar malam just now but it was raining too. Well, let's see which craving I'll wil be able to satisfy tomorrow.

Day #38

The kids who will be getting baptize during Easter next week. Look at how mischievous they are. Left, front to back -William, Issac, Calvin. Right, front to back - Li Anne, Karin, Kenneth, Arun, Kelvin

I guess all of them are prepared or rather well prepared for their 'big day' next week. After 10 weeks with us, they have pretty much capture the message from God. There is sooo much improvement in all of them especially Arun and William. At the beginning of the class, we'll have to explain things to Arun in BM and to William in mandarin. It was also kinda tough to ask William to recite the Hail Mary prayer in english as he was thought the Mandarin version of it. Today, he can recite not only the Hail Mary prayer but also The Lord's prayer without looking at his prayer sheet. Praise the Lord. Arun on the other hand manage to pick up his understanding in english and manage to read us bible stories aloud.

Some of them are sad that they will be leaving this class to join the normal cathehism class. It was so sweet to see them telling us they do not wana leave the class. Well life goes on rite. In about 2 months time, there will be a new batch of kids joining us for another 10 or so weeks before the next Easter where they will then be baptize.

Friday, April 3, 2009

On leave tomoro. Finally!! Will be attending the 'Day of Recollection' retreat in church for all those are are going to get baptize this Easter. Hmm... don't get me wrong, I am already baptized when I was 2 months old. The reason I am attenting it is coz I am one of the facilitators for the children session. This is my first time or should I say the first batch of kids that I am seeing through getting baptize. There are 3 other facilitators for the children too. So this time around, there are 7 kids with 4 facilitators. Hehhehe... What a priviledge rite. At the beginning of the 2008/2009 session, we had 10 kids who registered. One of them was then sent to the kindergarden level so remaining 9. All of a sudden 2 sisters decided to pull out from it so that left us with only 7 kids. Nevertheless, they are nice kids and totally nice to be with. I am sure they will grow up to be fine Catholics. I hope and pray that they can 'survive' the 3-4 hours session we will be having tomoro.

Jesus bless them all - Kelvin, William, Isacc, Calvin, Kenneth, Arun and Li Anne!!!

Thursday, April 2, 2009

Been away for 2 days. Got high fever + sore throat and headache. The fever was quite high that the doctor suspected it to be dengue. Told me to come back after 3 days for blood test if fever does not subside. Took MC yesterday and sleep almost the whole day. Got much better when I woke up around 7pm. Then could not sleep when it's time to sleep. :) Keep waking up every 2-3 hours until finally went to sleep around 5-ish and woken by my alarm at about 7am.

Project 365 was also disrupted. I guess I will not be able to continue on with it on a daily basis coz there aren't exciting scenes or people for me to snap each and every day. Will post it when I have nice pics ok.

Went to work as usual today and got 'attack' by 'Mr. X' early in the morning. He found a big problem in our inventory system. Keep on questioning me. As I don't like beating around the bush, I told him what the matter was. Lucky for me, my boss told him the same thing. Fuih....

Finally manage to open up to my boss about all the problems I am facing with the system. Hope it will finally be able to go on smoothly and then I can start doing my job as a Chemist there!! Well, only time can tell!! I will wish and hope for the best.
