Ash Wednesday

It's Ash Wednesday today which marks the beginning of the Lent season for us, fellow Christians. The Lent season begins with Ash Wednesday and ends with Easter and its a 40 days celebration. During this season, there is a emphasis to do more charity, to fast and to pray. It's not that we don't have to do those 3 things at any other day but during Lent, we need to pay more attention on them. Ok, back to Ash Wednesday, which is today, ashes will be distributed in the sign of a cross on our forehead. These ashes are produce by burning palm leaves which are from the previous 'Palm Sunday' celebration.

Got the pic which resembles the 3 main thing during Lent from church. Pardon the quality of the picture as it was quite dark and I was sitting quite a distance from it.
